* Braskem buys Sunoco's PP division in the US - Brazil
Brazilian petrochemical company Braskem (NYSE: BAK) has penned an agreement to buy Philadelphia-based oil firm Sunoco's (NYSE: SUN) polypropylene (PP) subsidiary Sunoco Chemicals in the US for US$350mn in cash, the companies announced Monday.
The deal is expected to be concluded within 60 days, Braskem said.
Sunoco Chemicals has three plants, in Texas, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, with combined capacity of 950,000t/y. The acquisition also includes a R&D center in Pittsburgh.
