* Metallurgical companies ask FMO to halt railcar imports from China - Venezuela
Venezuelan mining and metallurgical industry association AIMM has asked state iron ore producer Ferrominera Orinoco (FMO) to stop importing railcars from China and prioritize local industry suppliers.
"FMO imported more than 200 railcars that could have been manufactured by local companies," an AIMM leader told BNamericas.
The company did not consider the government's import substitution and priority on local producers policy, which has a major impact on sector development, the official added ... more
