One of the main indicators that operators use to measure up to each other is ARPU, which can imply client loyalty when high, as well as reflecting the extent to which clients are leveraging the operator's investments in new technology and services. In light of this, we have collated ARPU figures where available with the aim of making them a permanent feature in our Telecommunications Stats series from now on. We also consider recent ARPU trends so as to make projections for the next few quarters. In this issue we also compare the relative performance of operators in markets that have introduced number portability, and list the digital terrestrial TV standards chosen by each country.
