* Association ups insured losses forecast from earthquake to US$4bn - Chile

Chile's insurance association AACH has raised its forecast for the insured losses caused by a devastating 8.8 earthquake that hit Chile on February 27 to US$4bn from its initial US$2.5bn-2.6bn, local daily El Mercurio quoted AACH chairman Mikel Uriarte as saying.

The association updated its estimate following the first companies' reports about damage suffered on their facilities and visits to the most battered VII and VIII southern regions, he said.
